So far all data suggest that the sales of the iPhone XS and the iPhone XS Max are going full steam ahead, but the imminent launch of the iPhone XR (which will hit the market on October 26) could multiply the sale of Apple smartphones , taking the figures to a new level.
Ming-Chi Kuo, an analyst at KGI Securities, says demand for the iPhone XR will be much higher than predicted by the predictions. He believes that Apple will be able to sell more than 38 million units of iPhone XR, and a total of 80 million iPhone units in general by the end of the year.
The predictable sales spree on Apple's iPhone XR
The estimates of Ming-Chi Kuo are quite high, to compare with data from previous years and taking a benchmark, during the last quarter of 2017 Apple sold 77.3 million units of iPhone. The sales record of the company of the bitten apple was in 2016, with a figure of 78.2 million units sold.
The fact that the iPhone XR manages to significantly boost the sales of Apple is not a surprise to anyone. This smartphone offers very interesting updates at the hardware (and design) level with respect to the iPhone 8 at a relatively reasonable price. What's more, the main difference with the iPhone XS line is that the iPhone XR offers an LCD screen instead of an OLED screen.
On the other hand, the iPhone XR does not have 3D Touch. But it has other advantages such as wireless charging system, facial recognition sensors, a screen that covers the entire front of the device and a wide range of colors to choose from. As mentioned, the iPhone XR will arrive on October 26 at stores.
