Apple already knows what it is going to do with the facilities of its ex-partner GT Advanced Technologies, which is supposed to have produced for Apple quartz crystal that in the end they were not able to provide under the agreed conditions. It is a new data center from which to control all other centers that have previously raised.

The project will cost Apple about $ 2 billion, and will employ 150 people in the center of the town of Mesa, in the state of Arizona where this building is located.

Those $ 2 billion will not drop them all at once, but over a ten-year development, according to the Associated Press.

As with all other data centers that Apple has, the building and all the servers it will house will be powered by electricity generated from a huge solar farm, similar to the one they already have in Maiden in North Carolina.

A solar farm of this type can provide enough electricity for the consumption of up to 14,500 homes ... it is just a piece of information to get an idea of how huge these panel fields can be. With this electricity, servers are fed to our photos, videos or contacts among other contents.
