In the WWDC (World Conference of Developers) Apple introduced two new tablets, a model of 12.9 inches and a model of 10.5 inches.
The new 10.5-inch iPad Pro replaces the previous 9.7-inch generation. It has slightly narrower side bezels, so it takes better advantage of the screen.
The iPad Pro 10.5 "has an A10X Fusion processor, a True Tone Flash screen with a resolution of 2,224 x 1,668 pixels and, apparently, has 4 GB of RAM.
iFixit has revealed all the features of its hardware
At the hardware level, and even at the design level, the 10.5-inch iPad Pro is virtually identical to the 9.7-inch iPad Pro. But there are small details that reveal and justify the generation jump.
The 9.7-inch iPad Pro has 2 GB of RAM, while the new model has 4 GB of 1600 MHz RAM from Micron Technology.
Other specifications that iFixit has confirmed are:
10.5 inch screen
True Tone TFT screen of 2,224 x 1,668 pixels.
Screen of 264 pixels per inch.
A10X Fusion processor with 64-bit architecture.
Motion Coprocessor M10.
12 MP iSight camera with 4K video recording at 30 fps.
7MP FaceTime camera with video at 1,080 pixels.
Four speaker system.
Sensor Touch ID.
Lighting sensors and ambientation.
Accelerometer, barometer and gyroscope.
Storage capacity of 64 GB, 256 GB and 512 GB.
The iPad Pro 10.5-inch iFixit has given a repair score of 2/10
Another of the most curious data that iFixit has collected is that the device has some mysterious plastic blocks located at the top of the hardware, where the LTE antennas should be in the Cellular models.
These blocks could be there to add additional support to the screen assembly. The new iPad is now available for purchase. What do you think of its technical specifications and hardware?
